§01 The service
LocalReply is a Chrome browser extension that reads the public Reddit page you have open, takes the message you wrote in your own language, and produces an English reply that fits the subreddit's tone. It also offers a post summary and a "show me what my reply means in my language" translation. By installing the extension or using the website, you agree to these terms.
§02 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and have a Reddit account in good standing. You must comply with Reddit's User Agreement and the rules of every subreddit you participate in.
§03 Free and Pro
- Free: 5 replies per week, Casual style, plus the post summary and reply translation features.
- Pro: US$11 per month. Unlimited replies, all three styles (Casual / Informative / Humorous), and any future Pro-only features.
The free quota resets weekly based on the timestamp stored in your browser. We may change the free limit or Pro feature mix with notice on the website and in the extension.
§04 Payment, renewal, cancellation
Pro is billed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. The subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Paddle customer portal (link in your purchase confirmation email); access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. If you cancel within 14 days of purchase and have not heavily used the service, you can request a full refund by emailing sean@redimates.com or contacting Paddle. After 14 days, refunds are handled case-by-case at our discretion.
§05 Acceptable use
You agree not to use LocalReply to:
- Post on subreddits that prohibit AI-generated content, without disclosing it where required.
- Spam, brigade, harass, defame, or impersonate.
- Evade subreddit bans, mod actions, or Reddit's content policies.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, content that incites violence, or anything illegal in your jurisdiction or Reddit's.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or share your License Key.
Each subreddit sets its own rules about AI assistance. Read the sidebar before you post. Violations are between you and Reddit, but repeat violations of these terms allow us to terminate your access.
§06 AI-generated content
Output from the extension is generated by a third-party AI model (DeepSeek). You are the author of anything you actually post. AI output can be wrong, biased, or inappropriate for the context. Always read your reply before sending. LocalReply makes no claim to ownership of your output, and disclaims responsibility for what you choose to post.
§07 Reddit trademark
"Reddit" and the Reddit logo are trademarks of Reddit, Inc. LocalReply is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.
§08 Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate, useful, or fit for any particular purpose. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
§09 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalReply's total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost karma, lost opportunities, or moderation actions taken against you.
§10 Termination
You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the extension and (if applicable) cancelling your Pro subscription via Paddle. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
§11 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in the extension. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
§12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
